Monday Oct.16th-  Can you tell that we have been busy???  Gosh!  Don't know where to start!  I just had a garage sale over the weekend to make our house lighter. Ha! Ha!  We had a Morgan Building moved in beside our home to make a fishing office to keep all of our fishing tackle and goodies in.  It was taking over my computer room in my house.  I am almost for sure that we have all of our sponsors from last year.  We are so blessed!  Getting ready for a ladies fishing class at Bass Pro this weekend.  We didn't ge to fish over the weekend so I hope that we can fit it in for next weekend.  Hope all our friends have been well!

Friday October 23rd
- Tommy and Mitch caught some fish in their tournament last weekend, just not enough to place.  We will be at the Denham Springs Bass Pro Shops Saturday and Sunday with all kinds of kids and family games going on.  Come see us and tell us you saw this on our web-site.  You never know what prize you may get.  Hope to be adding more pictures on the site of last weekends weigh-in and the ladies fishing class that we had a Bass Pro, which was awesome!!

Friday October 16th I am wishing Tommy good luck in his 2 day Team Bass Classic Bass Tournament on Saturday and Sunday with weigh in being at Bass Pro at 4pm on Sunday. I hope it gets better for him. Besides the flat on the tire this morning on his way to Pre-fish, then the boat trailer brakes hung up when backing up, they had to be disconnect, then the front Depth/Fish finder decided to stop working....He really needs some prayers!!

Monday October 12 - Tommy is fishing a 2 day Team Bass Tournament this weekend out of Belle River and the weigh in is at D. S. Bass Pro on Sunday around 4pm like the Real Bassmaster’s Classic. It’s going to be televised and press will be there. There will be a ladies... basic fishing class from 2 - 4 pm which I will be one of the speakers. We hope to see you there!

Wednesday Sept. 30th - The cool mornings are starting to creep in on us here in Louisiana.  Highs in the 80's and low's 60's.  Not to cool yet, but not the 98 we saw last month.  Thanks to all who came out and saw us at the Craft/Taste Fair.  It rained a few different times but we were under a covered area.  Looking forward to fishing some top water with the cooler mornings now.  If only the rain would hold off on the weekends and rain during the week instead.  Received my pink Cast-A-Way rods in and can't wait to go and try them out!!

Friday Sept. 18th  - I am so sorry that I have not updated in a while.  Please blame it on Face book!!  I have been blogging on face book instead of here and that is not what I need to do.  Tommy ended us fishing the tournament last Saturday with Mitch, because I was sick.  They didn't do anything.  I say it's because I wasn't fishing it, but I can say that because he doesn't read this.  LOL!!  There is always the next time.  Tommy and I are in our local paper here talking about us having a booth in the craft/taste fair on Sept. 26th to help raise money for Family Resourse Clinic.  All the proceeds from our booth will go back to the help out the Family Resource Clinic.  Most of our sponsors have sent donations for our booth.  Thank you guys!!

COME SEE US AT OUR BOOTH!!

Tuesday Sept. 2 - Hope everyone is ready for the long weekend!  Tommy and I got to go fishing Saturday at Lake Rosemound and was able to catch 5 keepers.  The weather was wonderful and just great to get out.  We have a tournament on the 12th of this month at False River so hopefully we will get to scout there this weekend.  Please be safe and just have fun this weekend!!

Tuesday August 25 - We finally got to go fishing Sunday, after Tommy coming off of a 5 week turn-around.  We went to False River since we have a tournament their next month.  I started throwing a Rat-L-Top and they started blowing up on it.  We lost a lot of bass but boated some 2 to 3 pounders.  It was such a nice day just to get out.

Wednesday August 19th - Welcome to the new hosting site with GoDaddy.com.  This hosting site looked like it offered a lot more, so I am going to try it out. Please be patient with me as I try and make some changes to the backgrounds and the pages of the web-site.  If you have any suggestions, please, please feel free to e-mail me and let me know.  Tommy has not had a weekend off in over a month so we haven't been fishing.  Hopefully this weekend!!  We have a tournament coming up next month at False River so we need to go look around there.  SInce I have this up and running, I will try and write more often.  Thank you for checking in!!

Tuesday August 11th - Tommy has been working a lot so we haven't gone fishing in a few weeks.  Hopefully this weekend we can slip away.

Thursday August 6th- Hope everyone is having a great week!  Tommy has been working a lot.  He worked last weekend and may work again this weekend.  Got to get the O.T. while it's there to get!  We will be at Bass Pro tonight to do some seminars so we hope to see you there.

Saturday August 1st -Tommy had to work today.  When he got home at 6pm, we went fishing.  Me and Tommy just got home from taking Mason, Tyler, and their paw paw Carrie fishing in our boat. We fished till we couldn't see anymore light.  Of course I left my camera in the truck!! We will take them another time and get pictures!! We had a blast and they caught some fish! That is all that matters!! Thank you God!!

Wednesday July 29th - Just posted a few new pictures.  Still waiting on the Library Seminar pictures. CONGRATULATIONS TOMMYAND MITCH!  They placed 9th in the Team Bass Tournament Trail.

Sunday July 26th - HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN GRACE "39"

We are very blessed to have your family in our lives!!

Thursday July 23rd - Baton Rouge Library Seminar @ Jones Creek went well.  I am hoping to post pictures soon.

Monday July 20th - On Sunday, Tommy and I took Melinda, Steve and Mallory Grace to Lake Rosemound to put a lock on our water meter since someone is using our water.  Yes, someone used 138 gallons of water last month, and it wasn't us!  Mallory fished while we were there and tore the bream up!  She had a blast!  We all had fun!  My nephew Cade spent Sunday night with us and he and I went swimming and had a lot of fun!  I will be posting pictures soon!

Saturday July 18th - We ended up going to Bass Pro for seminars Last night instead of Thursday night.  We met some awesome people!!  Of course our friends Mallory and Steve Grace were there which it's always so good to see them.  We met a guy, Mr. Allen, whom his wife Donna, is at Duke hospital scheduling some test because she is very sick.  He is still having to work to keep the insurance up, so he is just waiting for her to call with the dates of the test and then he will hall butt to be by her side.  It's such an awesome feeling when God puts us in the place that we need to be, at the exact moment we need to be there.  We enjoyed talking with him so much.  It's people like this that makes us stronger in faith and reminds us how blessed we are.  We love our job at Bass Pro doing the seminars because it allows us to talk with people about fishing, and what ever else the conversation may lead to.  The conversation that we had with Mr. Allen will be something that we will never forget and forever be in our hearts and prayers. Please be in prayer for this family!

Saturday July 11th - Let's see, where do I start?  Friday, our boat started having all kind of alarms going off on it.  Now don't forget, they are 2 hours from home, pre-fishing for Sundays Tournament.  Saturday morning, the alarms are still going off, and now the boat won't even get on plane.  Tommy and Mitch decide to bring the boat back to Gonzales, and leave it to get worked on at the retailer, and then pick up Mitch's Triton boat from his house.  His wife went to plug it up to charge it and sparks flew.  Tommy and Mitch get to Gonzales to drop our boat off and Tommy somehow locks his keys into his truck.  I have to drive an hour to unlock his truck.  Needless to say, he wasn't a happy camper by now.  They went on and picked up Mitch's boat and drove back 2 hours to Saline/Larto.  They were putting the boat in when they found out something happened to the batteries.  Mitch had to end up buying 2 new batteries for his boat before they could fish.  Please be in prayer that everything goes well for them today.  I think God was testing their patients.

Friday July 10 - Tommy and Mitch took off this morning for the weekend at Saline/Larto to Pre-fish and then the Team Bass Tournament on Sunday.  They are in 11th place right now out of 64 boats.  Pretty good I think!  Good luck guys in Sunday's tournament!!!

Tuesday July 7th - Tommy has his Team Bass Tournament this weekend at Saline/Larto, which is around Marksville, La.  I will post his results when I get them.

Monday July 6th - Gosh, I didn't realize that it has been that long since I updated.  Sorry!!!  Tommy and I went to Toledo Bend the end of June where I caught me a 6 lb. bass!  The temperature there was 102 each day while we were there and boy, the humidity was just as bad.  Fishing was very slow and we had to fish the points and the humps anywhere from 25 ft to 40 ft.  Tommy's dad is still hanging in there but, it is only a matter of time.  My nephew Cade has been here the whole weekend with us, popping some fireworks of course.  I am off on Mondays so he is with me today also.  Check out our events!  I am on face book also, which i am just learning about.

Friday June 19th - Tommy made it home!!  He has been working all week in Galveston, Texas.  We are planning on going fishing tomorrow afternoon at Lake Rosemound.  Next week we are going for a few days to Toledo Bend.  I CAN'T WAIT!!!  Tommy has been there several times; I have never been.  Can you believe that?

Sunday June 14th - We had a very busy weekend!  Saturday was the Denham Springs Bass Pros Fishing Rodeo.  It was so much fun!!!  We got to meet a lot of kids that were ready to fish.  There was also a party that we attended for Zak Matherne.  I posted new pictures on our gallery for your viewing.

Sunday June 7th - Just got off the phone with Tommy, as they are weighing in at their Team Bass Tournament and Tommy and Mitch placed 3rd and pulled a check.  Congratulations!!!  For those of you in Denham Springs, check out this link: www.denhamspringsonline.com .

Tommy and I were at Bass Pro yesterday teaching the kids and letting them practice the art of Flippin'.  They got to get on top of a boat and use a rod n reel to flip a bait into a bucket.  It was really fun and we enjoyed it.  We had to cut it short though and leave early due to an emergency with Tommy's dad.  As most of you know, Tommy's dad has been very sick.  He has started having mini strokes within the past few weeks and has taken many falling spells, with some being pretty bad, hitting his head.  He had to be checked out at the hospital due to one of the falls, and make sure he didn't have bleeding on the brain.  After the test were read, they determined that there wasn't.  Thank God!!  He is back at home know.  Please keep Tommy and his family in your thoughts and prayers.  Thank you all so much for checking in on us through our web-site!!!

Sunday May 31st - Tommy and I have been on a mini vacation.  Our friends Billy Bob, John, and Tommy from Florida met us at Lake Okhissa in Mississippi and we fished for a few days there.  The gnats were bad but we caught some fish.  It was great seeing Billy Bob again!  In June, Tommy and I are going to Toledo Bend for 4 or 5 days.  Can't wait for that!!

Monday May 25th - Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day!  Tommy and I are kinda chillin' at home.  Tommy had his 30 year Baker High Class reunion over the weekend and got to see some people that he hadn't seen since high school.

Tuesday May 19th- Tommy is back from working in Texas and hopefully it will be a while before he has to go back.  We haven't been fishing in about 3 weeks due to him being gone.  Getting the "fishing withdrawals."  We will be at the Denham Springs Bass Pro this weekend with a casting competition on Sunday from 1-3pm.  Tommy's dad is still hanging in there.  Tommy has been trying to be there for his mom.  We are going fishing in Arkansas with our friend Billy Bob, from Florida, next week for a few days.

Wednesday May 13 - I am so sorry for the lack of updating.  A lot has been going on.  Tommy has been working out of town in Galveston, Texas.  He comes home for one day on the weekend and then leaves the next day to go back.  He will be back this Friday night, hopefully for good.  We traded his 2003 Chevrolet in and got him a 2007 Z71 4x4 on Monday from Brian Harris Chevrolet.  We needed a truck to pull the boat out of some landings that we go to.  Also, Tommy's younger brothers two year anniversary of his death was Monday, so it has been a somber mode with his family.  Tommy's dad isn't doing so well either.  Tommy and I will be at Bass Pro in Denham Springs this weekend giving seminars.  I hope to see you there.  Be in prayer for his family please.

Thursday April 30 - Tommy has been in Galveston, Texas all week working.  I will be going to the Denham Springs Jr. High Outdoor Club Tournament today to be the weigh master and help out.  Tommy and I helped out last year and it was great.  This year, I will be helping out, while Tommy is in Texas.  He will be home Friday evening though, just in time for the Dream Day Fishing Galore on Saturday and then he fishes a Team Bass Tournament on Sunday.  We have been very busy this month and expect to be even busier this in May.  Also, thanks to our new sponsor, Stanley Jigs!

Sunday April 19th - Happy Birthday to My OLDER brother, Kevin Devall!  The BIG 44!!  Just know that you will always be older than me Kevin!  Ha!  I had my 41st birthday on Tuesday the 14th.  Yep, I'm gettin' up there!  Tommy sent me a dozen assorted roses to work that were beautiful.  He only does this once a year so I didn't complain about the money spent.  Tommy went fishing this weekend at Lake Bruin and Lake St. John with his brother-in-law, so Cade, my 9 yr old nephew, stayed Friday night and Saturday with me.  Cade and I had fun watching a movie, staying up late and just spending time together.  (ok, and spoiling him!)

Sunday April 12th - HOPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE!!!!  We went fishing yesterday at False River but the wind was blowing and the shad were in the thousands under the piers.  The bass did not want our baits because they had all the shad they needed.  It was a nice day to get out though.

Wednesday April 8th - Hope all have been well.  Tommy and I have been fighting this sickness for weeks now.  Pollen, Cold weather then hot, allergies, sinus, etc........  We are having it all.  Could be much worse though.  We will be at Denham Springs Bass Pro tomorrow night to give some seminars.

Wednesday April 1st - For the people whom follow up with the happenings, my Uncle Johnny Kinchen went to be with the Lord yesterday, after a short battle with Cancer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was retired from the Fire Department in Baton Rouge.  Please be in prayer for his family.

Monday March 30 - Hope everyone had a great weekend!  James Duvall, a Leukemia patient, will be heading to St. Jude on Tuesday to have his Hip Replacement, so please be in prayer for him.  Tommy went fishing yesterday around Lake Verret to look around for their tournament on Sunday with Team Bass.  He said they caught a few.  Hope they have better weather then.  It was really windy over the weekend.  Gosh almost April already!  The year is flying by.  Hope you guys have a great weekend!!!!!

Wednesday March 25 - Please be in prayer for a few dear people to us.  Uncle Johnny Kinchen (cancer patient) and his family, Glen Helminger, (Tommy's dad), (C.O.P.D. & Congestive heart Failure) and his family, and also James Duvall whom is 17 yrs old and a Leukemia patient, and awaiting hip replacements.  GOD, Just lift them up through prayer and lift away their pain and sickness and give them and their family Strength, Courage, Wisdom, and Understanding through it all.  In Jesus name.  Amen

We love you guys!!!

Wednesday March 18th - Tommy and I had a Tournament on Sunday at False River.  We caught about 7 bass but only 2 were keepers.  It was a lot of fun though.  It had been raining all week and it stopped just long enough for the tournament.  Tommy is really sick today.  I guess it's the flu.  He hardly ever gets sick, but has already had this twice this year.  His dad is still hanging in there with Hospice.  Thank you for your continued prayers for Tommy's family.

Monday March 9th- What a weekend!!!  We had so much fun at the Dreams Come True Bass Classic on Saturday.  Tommy and I brought the TV crew and photographer around the river with our boat.  It will start airing Saturday on COX 4.  They also interviewed us by ourselves.  We were also helping with weighing the fish.  It was great and we meet a lot of nice people.  Check out some new pictures that I posted.

Wednesday March 4 - Please be in prayer for Tommy's dad.  He has C.O.P.D. and Congestive heart failure and has been on Hospice for two weeks now.  He is not doing well at all today.  Tommy's mom is going to need prayers also;she just lost her 37 year old son, Jerry, less than 2 years ago.  May God Bless you all!

Monday Feb. 23rd - Gosh!!  What a weekend at the Bassmaster Classic!  It was a blast and we got to meet so many people.  I will be uploading some pictures in the next day or so, stay tuned!  Thanks for all our friends who stopped by to see us.  We are going to be at the Denham Springs Bass Pro this weekend for Rat-L-Trap, so check out the events and the dates!!

Thursday Feb. 19th - Getting excited about going to the Bassmaster Classic the whole weekend.

Sunday Feb. 15 - Tommy and Brad ended up going fishing around noon yesterday.  Tommy said they had fun.  Brad caught him a couple of fish, and said he enjoyed it.  To me, fishing is my therapy for life.  It takes your mind off of all the bad things going on in this world today.  I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day.  I still have the pink eye as of this morning.  Tommy and I will be going to the Bass Master Classic in Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana this coming up weekend.  We will be working the booths of Cast-A-Way Rods and Rat-L-Trap Lures.  Come by and see us if your there and let us know you looked at our web-site and come see what our sponsors have to offer.

Saturday Feb. 14 - HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE!!!!  Today is going to be one of those dreary rainy days.  Tommy was going to bring his friend Brad Roy fishing, but it kinda stormed all morning.  Maybe the rain will go through by lunchtime and they can go then.  I woke up with pink eye, and I was planning on taking my nephew, Cade, fishing in a big pond.  Well, maybe another time I guess.

Thursday Feb. 12, 2009 - Hope all has been well.  Tommy has had the "ooky crude" since Friday of last week.  Congested, sore all over and coughing.  He fished his tournament Sunday but left right after they weighed in since he was feeling really bad.  We found out that they placed 10th out of more than 50 boats, which isn't bad.  They only paid out 8 places.  Please be in prayer for Tommy's step-dad, as Hospice has been called in this week.  Also, James Duvall will be going to St. Jude next week for his hip replacement. We pray for a fast recovery for you James.

Saturday Feb. 7, 2009 - Tommy has his first of the year Team Bass Trail Tournament tomorrow on False River.  His partner is Mitch Cabrera, whom has been his partner for many years and  just happens to be his brother-in-law.  They fish well together and they both have a Triton boat.  I want to thank Cast-A-Way, Culprit, and Rat-L-Trap for sending the donations for Dreams Come True Bass Classic and the Dream Day Fishing Galore, both for Cancer patients.  Even though the economy is really bad at this moment, they still gave.

Thank you very much!!

Monday Feb. 2 - Gosh, it was a little cold fishing this weekend.  I caught another big crappie, 2 pounds, and a really nice bass.  Tommy fishes his first Team Bass tournament this Saturday.

Sunday Jan. 25th - Hi everyone!!  Hope you got a chance to get out on the water this weekend.  Tommy and a friend of his, Bubba Duvall, went fishing at Lake Rosemound on Saturday.  When they left in the morning to go fishing it was 68 degrees, but a few hours later is was 48 degrees, raining, and the wind blowing.  They ended up catching 8 bass. Tommy and I will be going to the Bassmaster Classic at the end of February.  We are excited to met some of our sponsors and work in their booths to help them out.  We will have a lot of time though to watch the weigh-ins and mingle around.  Thank you guys so much for taking time to look at our web-site.  Drop us a line to let us know what you think of it or what you would like to see.

Monday Jan. 19th - http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jamesduvall  Check out James' website!!  Sorry for the lack of updates.  I will try to do better.  I will update our events for the year soon.  Just keep checking back, as they can change month to month.  Tommy and I have been fishing a lot at Lake Rosemound.  One day we catch the heck out of bass and then the next time, not even a bite.  This cold weather and wind has a lot to do with it.  We will start back doing seminars at Denham Springs Bass Pro in February.  Tommy will also start his Team Bass Tournament Trail.  He can't wait!!  He loves his tournaments.

Sunday Jan. 4th - Well, back to work tomorrow.   I have posted some new pictures that I hope you will like.  Tommy and I went fishing on Friday at our place at Lake Rosemound in St. Francisville.  We had such a great time.  We caught our limit of Bass (5 fish each their) and then had to throw back about 20 more that were very good size.  We haven't fried fish in so long that we keep some and I fixed them tonight.  AAHHHHH!!  They were good.  I also caught some huge sacalait.  One of them weighed 2 pds 10 ounces.  Saturday and Sunday Tommy and I kinda stayed around the house since it rained both days and we did some house cleaning.

Wednesday Dec. 24  WE'VE  BEEN BUSY AS A BEE!  Tommy worked until noon and then he went fishing at False River.  I had to get groceries and run some errands after I got off of work at noon.  Hopefully, I will be able to put some new pictures on our site and update it a little.  I hope that we all take time to realize what tomorrow really means.  I pray for us all to have a blessed and meaningful New Year to come.  We are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us in 2009.

Monday Dec. 15 - I visited Chandler and his family today.  It was a great visit.  You can see him on Chan-Man's Page.  Please keep him in your prayers for his continued recovery.  Tommy and I can't wait to go fishing.  I haven't been fishing in over 6 weeks.  I think I am getting withdrawals.

Wednesday Dec. 3 - Tommy and I (Dara) will be at the Denham Springs Bass Pro Shops on Thursday night around 6pm.  Will will be giving a seminar or two about some fishing techniques.  Come see us and talk with us and let us know that you looked at our website.  Hope all are doing well.   We want to thank everyone who keeps up with us and what we do.

Sunday Nov. 30 - Hope all is well and we hope you had a great Thanksgiving.  We were pretty busy.  Went worked at Bass Pro on Friday and Saturday to help out.  My little friend Chandler came to see me.  He had gotten into a really bad car accident a few months ago, but with therapy, he is improving.  He is a special little 3 yr old.

We are taking it easy today.  I am trying to clean up around the house a little and Tommy washed my truck and piddled around outside, now he is watching football.

We have meet so many people during our events and I have to say, it has been such a pleasure.

Tuesday Nov. 18 - Come see us Saturday at Bass Pro!  We will not be there Thursday due to us being there on Saturday.

Tuesday Nov. 11 - Come see us tonight at the Denham Springs Bass Pro!!!

Tuesday Nov. 5- We have been working a lot since my last update.  Tommy took Bubba and James Duvall fishing Sunday at Lake Rosemound.  They had lots of fun.  James whipped both of them.  Way to go James!  James is special to me!  He is 17 years old and has had Leukemia for 2 1/2 yrs.  I have been with him at St. Jude Hospital in Tennessee and have seen it first hand of what he goes through. He has been through so much, in and out of hospitals, chemo, collapsed hips,.....  You name it!  He is always smiling and you can see God working through him!  I really look up to him as one of my HERO'S.  I have pictures of him on this website.  Check them out!

Monday Oct. 27 - Sorry for the lack of updating.  Tommy ended up driving back home Thursday night.  Bill Dance could not meet them until Tuesday the 28th and he had to be home by the 26th, so he could go back to work.  Maybe there will be another time to fish with Bill Dance.  He said he had lots of fun with all the guys and it was an adventure that he will not forget.  Jessie, the other guy who rode with him on the trip, ended up going back home also.  The best chance to see us at Bass Pro is on Thursdays.  Tuesdays is not a good day for us to go.  All this week, there will be events going on for Halloween.  Check out www.basspro.com for the event schedule.  We will also be at Bass Pro for Halloween night.  There will be trick-or-treating from 6pm until 8pm Friday night in each department plus games.  Hope to see you at Bass Pro in Denham Springs on Thursday nights!!  The pictures should be available in a few days.  Also, I want to say get well to Steve Grace.  He had back surgery a couple of weeks ago.  Also to lil' Chandler, whom is 3 and my new friend, recovering from a bad automobile accident where he lost his 5 yr old big brother.  My prayers are with you guys everyday.

              May God Bless you all!!

Sunday Oct. 19- Billy Bob, Jessie, and Tom arrived at our home on Friday night after a 14 hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  They stayed at our home on Friday night and then left early the next morning for their 10 hour drive through Texas to Lake Falcon, which is almost to Mexico.  I just spoke with Tommy and they fished the whole day today and caught about 10 bass today.  They had a lot of wind today and fishing wasn't the best.  They are taking off Monday morning and going to Toledo Bend for a few days.  Tommy said they are having fun, so that's all that matter's to me.  As much as I would have loved to have gone with them, it is a great feeling knowing that he is enjoying himself.  I miss him but he deserves getting away!!

Tuesday Oct. 15 - We were not able to go to Bass Pro last night due to Tommy working until 12 midnight.  Then he had to get back up at 3:45am and go back to work.  That's one thing I can say is Tommy is an awesome worker.  He may be a supervisor, but he gets right there with the rest of his crew and works right along side of them.  We will definitely be there Thursday night and Saturday morning, starting at 10am for the washer toss contest for the ladies.  We appreciate each and everyone who looks at our site periodically.  Drop us a line just to say hey!

Friday Oct. 10 - Tommy had to work today, I was off of work and school is out for the fair today.  My nephew Cade, and my neighbors, Christy and her son Peyton & Parker, went to the Livingston Parish Fair.  The kids had a blast.  Everything is so expensive at those fairs.  But, at least we all had fun.  After that, I got my other nephew, Marek, age 2, and the neighbors 2 year old son, and they played in a little pool together.  It was just a beautiful day to get out and let the kids have fun.  Tomorrow, Tommy and I are going to run some errands and visit our families.  Tommy leaves at the end of next week to go on his fishing trip with some big name fishing pro's.  I am excited for him.  Maybe next time I can go.  I love to see him enjoying himself.  He works very hard every day, so this will be a wonderful get-a-way for him.

Monday Oct. 6 - Tommy and Chris Young went fishing at Lake Rosemound on Friday and stayed the whole day!  I think they caught about 14 bass and just enjoyed the great weather.  Yes, I gave up my seat!!  Hey, I don't mind sometimes; just not all the time.  Ha!  Saturday night we went to our friends, Bubba and Sondra's, and they cooked Pastalya and white beans!  Oh my gosh!  That was the best!  Thanks guys!!  It's always fun to visit with them.

Wednesday Oct. 1 - We went fishing on Sunday at Lake Rosemound in St. Francisville.  It couldn't have been a prettier day.  I played around with some shiners and Tommy pulled the bass out with a jig.  It was so relaxing.  We went to Bass Pro last night.  It's such a joy to met so many people.

Saturday Sept 27 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! Tommy is working today but is off tomorrow so we are planning on going fishing.  My nephew, Cade, stayed the night with us last night and he is swimming with his friend right now.  My brother and sister are meeting me at mom and dad's house at 3pm and eat some cake and spend some time with them.  My parents are so very special to me.  I thank God that I still have both of them in my life.  They are both 65 years old, so they are still young.  I will let you know how we did at fishing tomorrow.

Monday Sept. 22 - Tommy has been working 7 days a week.   He got invited to go with Billy Bob from Fort Lauderdale, to go on a fishing trip through Texas and then on to Arkansas and meet with Skeet Reese and Bill Dance and go fishing with them.  Of course he said yes!  Our place in St. Francisville @ Lake Rosemound, got hit pretty bad by hurricane Gustav.  We have about 7 big trees uprooted and tops of some tall trees broken off and on the ground.

Tuesday Sept. 16 - CHECK OUT THE NEW PICTURES ON THE GUEST GALLERY!

Sunday Sept. 14 - FINALLY!  We have internet back.  Thanks to the COX COMMUNICATIONS guys, especially Robert Richie!!

Saturday Sept. 13  - Still no internet at my house so just as soon s it comes back on I will put more pictures on our site.  I hope and pray that all is safe and well from the hurricanes.  Louisiana will be cleaning up for a while.

Thursday Sept. 11 - I am so sorry for the lack of updating but we had a little visit from hurricane Gustav on Monday the 1st.  It really messed our area up and as of today, I am using someone else's internet.  We were out of electricity from Monday noon until Saturday night.  Cox cable T. V. and internet is still out.  All through the week you heard the humming of generators.  We were blessed not to have damage to our home.  We only had minor tree debre which was nothing compared to the other people in our area and around Louisiana.  The gust were up there around 90 MPH and kind of scary at times.  We will be at Bass Pro tonight to talk with people and do some demo's.  Thanks for all who called and checked on us.  Thanks to all who came from other states to help Louisiana out.  I have some new pictures that I will be posting tomorrow.  Thanks for visiting our site.

Saturday Aug 30 - Looks like hurricane "Gustav" is heading our way.  This brings back lots of memories for my family.  For the ones that do not know, my mom was at the New Orleans Charity Hospital when Katrina came through three years ago.  She had just had brain surgery a few days before Katrina came through and was in ICU.  We were not allowed to stay with her since the storm was coming so she was there and we were at home in Denham Springs.  After Katrina come through, all phone communications was down and as most of you know, the hospital was hit very hard.  No electricity, phones, no way out but by boats and helicopters, water up to the 2nd floor, no air conditioning, and windows were blown out.  It was very hard staying calm, not knowing where my mom was and how she was doing because of no communication.  Finally, 5 days after Katrina come through, mom was flown to E K L Hospital in Baton Rouge by a Chunuk helicopter.  We had no idea of her where abouts until she called us, which she had no idea were she was at.  She just had brain surgery and her memory was not there.  Thank GOD that she remembered her phone number to call us.  They only brought a handful to E K L and the other hundreds to Houston.  We were blessed for her to be flown here.  To think that she could have been flown to Houston with her memory like it was.  I will never forget when we drove up to pick her up.  A picture that will never, never fade.  She was still in her split-tail hospital gown with a big bandage on her head, setting in a wheel chair, crying.  I can't imagine the fear she had faced and then what it took to get her home.  I thank GOD everyday that she was one of the fortunate ones.  At least this time I know where she is. My mom and dad live 5 miles from me.  Please GOD, just keep everyone safe!

Friday Aug 29 - Happy 17th Birthday James Duvall!  We were not able to go to Bass Pro for seminars last night because we had air conditioner problems!  Sorry that we missed our friends Mallory and Steve.  Thanks for everyone signing our contact list.  It makes us feel good to see people are viewing our site.

Wednesday Aug 27 - We went to Bass Pro for a little while last night.  Next seminar night will be Thursday of this week.  Yea, we got to watch out for the storm "Gustav".  It can change paths since it is a while away, but we are still going to prepare for it so we will not have to fight crowds at the last minute.

Saturday Aug 23 - Well it was a hot one today.  We caught 6 bass but no weigher.  It was for a good cause though, the Cancer Society.  My little buddy Nicholas called us a few times today checking on us.  Thanks Nicholas!  We ended up not going to the Dreams Come True Dance at Lamar because the sun just whipped both of us.  The dance started at 8pm and it's 9:10pm now and we are getting ready to go to bed.  We wouldn't have last long at the dance.

Friday Aug. 22 - Last night we went to Bass Pro and did a few seminars.  My little friend Mallory came to see me and Tommy, which is always a joy.  Today we got the boat and our fishing rods ready for the tournament tomorrow at False River.

Tuesday Aug. 19 -Today was a great day!  I got my wedding ring back from the jewelers after getting another diamond put back in it.  I lost the other diamond in Bass Pro a few weeks ago.  We also went to Bass Pro and done a few demos tonight on the drop shot.  I guess you can tell by now that I, Dara, am the one who writes in the web-site.  Tommy doesn't even know how to turn the computer on.  He does help me though with the things that I write.

Saturday 16 - Sunday 17 - We kind of stayed around the house this weekend taking it easy.

Thursday Aug. 14 - Tommy had to work real late so I went to Bass Pro by myself.  My friend Mallory and her dad showed up, and as always, it's great to see them.  It's always special when people come back just to see us.  This is what working at Bass Pro is all about.  The kids, and seeing their family take them fishing and hunting.  Since Tommy and I have no children together, we kinda have a few kids that have came into the store that we have really gotten attached to.  We call them our adopted kids and we enjoy every second with them.  Thank you for that!

Sunday Aug. 10 - Went fishing at False River to scout a little.  Only a few fish caught but we only stayed about 3 hours.  We mostly just wanted to get out and have fun.

Tuesday Aug. 5 - Thank you Mallory, my 9 yr old friend that I met @ Bass Pro, for riding in the simulated race car with me.  It was great!

Sunday Aug. 3 - Well, so much for going fishing this weekend.  Tommy had to work Saturday and Sunday until 8pm.  Hey, we need the extra money just to pay for gas in the boat. We have a False River Tournament coming up this month on the 23rd, "Casting For A Cure".

Saturday Aug. 2 - On Thursday, Denham Springs Bass Pro had an event for the CCA, dealing with Saltwater guides.  Tommy and I went there to support Bass Pro.  A bunch of us went to eat in the restaurant in Bass Pro when I realized my wedding ring no longer had it's diamond in it.  OH MY GOSH!!!  The diamond was a little over a 1/2 ct.  There were people looking for it everywhere in the store.  That was Thursday, and today is Saturday.  Still no diamond found.  Yes, I still have my ring and I am glad to have it.  The wedding ring is just so sentimental  to me since Tommy picked it out before it gave it to me almost 18 years ago.  It's ok though, it's just a material item.  Thanks to all that helped me look for it.
