Hope everyone has been ok and enjoying life! So sorry it's been so long since I posted. Tommy and I went fishing last Saturday and today in Pigeon/Spillway. Last weekend was a lot better than today but caught about 20 bass today, just all under the 14 inch size limit. Most caught on spinnerbait around cover and Tommy caught some on the black & blue jig. The weather was beautiful. Getting a few degrees cooler always feels better when your fishing. Last weekend we had to tow a Bass Cat in for 2.5 hours. Just glad we were there to help. Never know when you might be in that situation. Send in your photos and I will post on here. Stay safe and thanks for looking at our site!

Happy Mother's day to all!
Hope everyone had a great weekend cause we sure did. Saturday was the 2011 Dream Day Fishing Galore in Clinton, Louisiana. This is our 4th year to be volunteers for this event and we look forward to it every year. We meet some many kids and their familes along with the ones we have meet in the previous years, which is always a joy!! We let the kids fish and some get to experience their first time fishing. We also allow them to drive the boat in the pond, of course, with us very close by. We are so blessed to be able to help out in these events and make memories for these children.

What a wonderful day I had with the Denham Springs Jr. High Outdoors Club at their tournament!!!! This is our 3rd year helping them out and what an awesome group of boys and girls. They must meet a certain criteria to be able to be in the club every year. Papers to write, service hours, grades, and much, much more. Congrats to all who were able to join us. Tomm y and I will be looking forward to next year!!

What a long and wet day! Today was the Brian Harris Chevrolets Children's Hospital Bass Classic. A record was set of 172 boats that fished this tournament that was out of Dirion's in Stephensville, La. It rained all day long and at times rained so hard, you couldn't see in front of you. Tommy and I helped Rusty our being weigh masters, as we have been doing for the last 4 years. What an awesome event it was!! It took over 20 pounds to take home the $12,500.00 for first place. The fish that were brought in today were BEAUTIES!! Made us just want to get out there and catch some along with them.
Thanks to all who fished this tournament and helped raise money for the Childrens Hospital in New Orleans. This was a great success and we look forward to next year!!

Wow!! Where does the time go?? Did not realize it had been over a month since I had updated. I hope all have been well.
Happy Veteran's Day to all who have served and who are currently serving in the Military. Tommy served 8 years in the Army as an Army Ranger and a Sgt. and also fought in the Invasion of Greneda in 1983. Also, my brother, Kevin Devall, served in the Army. Thanks to all of the Military!!
We have been working a few hours a week at the Denham Springs Bass Pro on the weekends talking to people about fishing and sharing our stories! I love talking to differnt people and seeing the guys try and see just what I know about Bass fishing! I suprise a lot of them!! ![]()
Fishing??? Well.... Not as much I want too, that's for sure. Supposed to be raining this weekend with a few thunderstorms so don't know what will come of that. This is kind of our slower time with fishing due to the cold fronts and it leaving the fish stunned. We never can make it fishing right before the cool front, it seems like it's always the day after. Oh well.... there is always the next weekend. Just let's us be able to go through our baits and re-string our reels.
Thanks for all who visit our web-site. Come back periodically for more updates.

Just realized that the update I posted a week and a half ago is not here. Wow! It looks like I have been neglecting updating really bad now. Tommy has still been working 7 days a week and we have NOT got to go fishing. We were able to get one day in fishing in the last 45 days I think and the motor was runing bad. Brought it in and found out all the ignition coils had a recall on them so had to get them fixed and a good ol' tune up. Hadn't been out since and it's killin' us!! The weather is beautiful now and turning a little cooler so hopefully Tommy can get a day off this weekend. Already getting events booked for next year so stay tuned. Stay safe on the water!

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day! Tommy and I was finally able to go fishing after 5 or 6 weeks of him working weekends. We went to Bayou Plaqumine on Monday and it was so relaxing. The fish have moved on the points and wanted plastics yesterday. Didn't have many 14 inch, but fun catching all sizes. Tommy has his two day Team Bass Classic Coming up in October so I guess he will be scouting soon for that. Stay safe on the water!!

Wow, I knew it had been a while but didn't realize it's been 3 weeks since last update. Tommy has been working a turn-a-round for almost a month; this being his first weekend off. He had the alarm set for 4am this morning to go fishing, but needless to say, it is 8:46am and he is still sleeping. Don't blame him, gotta catch up on some sleep sometime. We will be at Denham Springs Bass Pro on Sunday doing some seminars and talking to customers about fishing. Hope to see some of you guys there.

Can you say HOT!! Wow! Here in Louisiana it is impossible to stay out all day fishing in the heat that we are having. The humidity is so high and it's just so hot, it takes your breath away at times. Tommy started a turn-a-round last week at work so I really feel for him and his crew working in that heat. I went to Bass Pro in Denham Springs for a few hours and helped out in the fishing department. It is always so nice to see the new faces that come through the store and especially the employess that work there. We just love them like our family. They always make us feel special.
Thank you ! ![]()

Gosh it's hot! We have been working and trying to beat the heat anyway possible. Get's so hot so fast that when fishing, you need to get there before daybreak and fish fast because the heat gets unbearable. We are having heat advisories in Louisiana everyday. Drink plenty of fluids and put on plenty of sunscreen.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We worked a few hours at Bass Pro then went and ate at Chili's. If you are are fishing and out in the heat, please remember to drink lots of water. Tommy and I usually fish either in the morning or evening and try to stay inside due to the heat..

I fished Sam Rayburn for the first time last weekend and it wasn't a good as I would have liked it to be. Full moon and almost 100 degrees during the day makes a bad fishing day.:/ If you like fishing grass, Sam Rayburn is for you!! Top water is about all you can fish there unless you rip it through the grass. Went with some friends though, so we did have a great time laughing and cutting up. Next trip is Caney Lake! Tommy or me has ever fished Caney Lake and I am looking forward to it.

We had the Bass Pro Shops Kids Fishing Rodeo today and it was a blast!! I have posted pictures on the photo tab. If you have any better or other picture that was taken today, please send it to me at tdbass@cox.net. I used my iphone and the pictures were not as good as I wanted.
Thanks to all that attended today. Every child got a nice gift from Bass Pro. Thank you to Dempsy and MIke and the Jr. BASSMASTERS out of Lafayette for volunteering, helping, and fishing today. What an outstanding group!! So many of them touched our hearts.

Wow! It has been a while since I updated. We just returned from Holly Grove, Arkanasas yesterday for a Memorial Day weekend get-a-way. We met Billy Bob, from Florida there and visited Mr. Charlie Lewis and his Family which was a BLAST!! He fished the very first B. A. S. S. tournament with Bill Dance and Billy Bob. We fished the White River but it was high and out of the banks and so muddy. That's ok though! We had awesome fellowship and some good eating. Everyone is so nice in Arkansas.

Well, it looks like rain is in the forecast for this whole weekend through next week. Tommy will be fishing his Team Bass tournament at Lake Concordia on Sunday. Saturday, we will be at Dreams Day in Clinton for another year. Every year we look forward to this. We bring our boat and put it in one of the 5 ponds and let kids fish with us all day. This year they expect over 160 cancer patients from all over the state of Louisiana to be there so that will be so exciting to see those little faces smiling at you. Hope you are all doing well! Thanks for reading!
